Master Data Coordinator

Life Fitness, is the global leader in designing and manufacturing a full line of reliable, high-quality fitness equipment for commercial and consumer use. To support the Master Data & Sales Operations Team in the Barendrecht Office we are looking for a temporary (ten months): Master Data Coordinator.

Job description: The Master Data Coordinator is responsible for managing data in MS Dynamics AX and Exact, which is a challenging assignment as we are managing data in 5 instances of 3 different ERP systems. Master Data Management is key in the Life Fitness organization, as high-quality data not only enables proper decision making, but also is a must in ensuring that we can do reporting, our inventory is correctly valued financially, and we maintain the links between AX, Exact and Oracle.

A Master Data Coordinator is typically working on different Business Operations projects. These are aiming to improve our systems and processes, to be able to serve our internal customers better, who in turn can serve our external customers better. Being quick to respond to internal requests is crucial, but delivering quality solutions is just as important. It is expected that the person performing this role looks critically at processes and comes up with innovative solutions which help to improve our efficiency. The improvement activities are executed in agreement with the team’s manager to ensure that we are working towards a common goal.

The individual in this role is interfacing with cross-functional team members and external vendors/partners as needed. Therefore, effective team communication and outstanding attention to detail are required as well as being eager to learn or even design new systems. The candidate must have the ability to prioritize effectively and have a natural feel for solving problems.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Participate in new product introduction projects to set up items in AX and Exact, in line with supplier systems
• Maintain Master Data: in AX and Exact, ensure that master data is high quality, up-to-date and reflects the last known state of costs, prices, supply chain data, etc.
• Build solutions in our MS Access databases for ad-hoc and recurring business requests
• Work with the Sales Operations Coordinator to ensure that e-Con and our master data are in sync
• Ensure that phase-in and phase-out are done in line with Product Management’s guidelines and Supply Chain’s input
• Maintain tables related to Master Data: such as item groups, sales discounts, service object items, etc.
• Cross-functional work with internal customers: cooperate with Product Management, Sales, Service, Supply Chain, Finance and IT as needed to resolve questions, issues

We are looking for someone with :

• A Bachelor Degree
• Affinity with MS Access or another database management system (queries, forms, macros)
• Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook)
• Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken
• Ability to uptake new application software
• Experience in a Master Data Management role is a plus
• Previous experience using MS Dynamics AX is a plus
• Knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact across the organization.
