Job overview:

As Master Data Specialist you have to have an excellent understanding of all areas within the Life Fitness team: master data management in Dynamics AX and Exact, programming of e-Con and Advanced Forms, developing databases and innovative solutions to be able to serve our internal customers better.

It is vital that you will come to have a thorough understanding of the Life Fitness IT system landscape: how the systems are connected to each other, and how they tie to the manufacturing systems Oracle and Protosys. This enables you to give your expert opinion on resolving issues and to work as a functional lead on the ERP integration project that aims to bring all business units on to Dynamics AX (later Dynamics365).

You also have to develop an in-depth understanding of recurring, complex processes which are not part of the daily operations. At the end of the year, it is your job to work out a plan to ensure that from a data and e-Con point of view we have everything together to start the next year. This includes having the correct trade and discount journals in the system, applying the new sales prices, having the correct budget rates applied, setting up the correct markups, etc. At the beginning of the year the annual revaluation has to be executed, this is the most complex mass update project we have. This is a huge responsibility, as this will ensure that our inventory value is correct, our margin calculators are using the up-to-date costs and therefore we make the right decisions on whether to take a business opportunity or not.

In this role you will interface with cross-functional team members and external vendors/partners as needed. In particular, you are in regular contact with the external ERP Implementation Consultants, it is vital that they exactly know what we need and how they can help to get there. Therefore, effective team communication and outstanding attention to detail are required as well as being eager to learn new systems. Lastly, you must have the ability to prioritize effectively and have a natural feel for solving problems.

 

Skills & Abilities:

Required

• University Degree
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Master Data Management role
• Minimum 2 years of experience as part of an IT project team
• Must be a team player and have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
• Experience using a leading ERP system (Dynamics, SAP, Oracle)
• Affinity with MS Access or another database management system (queries, forms, macros)
• Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to uptake new application software and train end-users accordingly
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact across the organization
• Outstanding analytical skills  

Preferred

• Previous experience using MS Dynamics AX is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Dutch is a plus
