Master Data Specialist

As a new team member, you will grow into a specialist of our processes and systems (Exact, Dynamics AX, e-Con, and custom databases), and you will be actively participating in continuous improvement projects, daily Master Data issues, and two larger upcoming projects. The implementation of a global data governance system and following that, the roll-out of our ERP system Microsoft Dynamics AX in remaining business units replacing Exact.

What the Master Data & Sales Operations Team is doing: We are ensuring that our business has the right data to work with when interacting with the company’s ERP systems MS Dynamics AX and Exact. We manage item master data, costs, sales prices, discounts, and service-related information. We develop and maintain the front-end product configurator e-Con (comparable to a webshop), which enables sales team members to create quotations in a system with a user-friendly interface, and correct item and BOM data. Besides that, we work with custom databases that we build & maintain to make our processes more efficient.

What we expect from you: You are someone who is experienced with master data management in an ERP system and you can pick up system and process-related knowledge very quickly. You are able to participate in the daily data/system/process management and besides that, you look critically at our systems and processes and come up with suggestions on how to improve our data quality and simplify our processes.

We are looking for someone with excellent analytical skills and with a strong affinity for database management and development. We are not looking for a professional coder, however, you should ideally be comfortable with combining data and designing queries.

 

Task Summary:

• Participate in the daily master data management and sales operations activities in Dynamics AX/eCon/Exact, including item setup, creating and maintaining price lists, database development, and maintenance

• Represent the master data and sales operations team in the implementation of a new data governance system

• Execution of recurring complex processes: revaluation, sales price change, yearend activities

• Gap analysis, coming up with solutions, testing and managing implementation, and change management from our team´s perspective

• Participate in the further roll-out and improvements for MS Dynamics AX for master data    

Who you are & what you can do:

• WO or HBO with minimum 3-5 years of work experience in data management

• Outstanding Analytical skills

• Strong communication skills in English

• Willing to learn new things

• Strong MS Excel skills

• A strong affinity with Microsoft Access is required (Queries, Forms, Macros)

• Experience with ERP Systems is a plus (Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP, etc)

• Experience in an international environment is a plus
