Regional (Key) Account Manager

The Regional (Key) Account Manager EMEA is responsible for managing a number of distributors in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region and for the development of Key Accounts in the region. Obtaining maximum profitability and volume, further development & growth of the Life Fitness market share/ position within the Club and Hospitality key accounts. All of the above in line with the annual determined budget for both revenue and margins.  This position is instrumental in further developing the relationships with existing distributors and to support our strategic Key Accounts team internationally

Overall tasks and responsibilities: 

  • Achieve overall Distributor & Key Account team revenue targets, which are set in cooperation with the ATE Sales Manager & International Key Account Manager EMEA
  • Achieve personal target for predetermined number of existing and/or new key accounts (revenue and margin)
  • Be directly involved in setting revenue targets for Key accounts during the sales revenue budget process.
  • Deliver on budgeted revenue for new products that are foreseen in the budgeting process. Work directly with the marketing department to have the right tools developed to support your sales team to succeed.

Key Accounts:

  • Directly manage the revenue potential of a limited amount of Key Accounts; 
  • Develop a strategic plan on how to develop the Key Account business;
  • Organize and coordinate activities related to managing relationships and optimize sales opportunities with existing predetermined international key accounts.  

Distributor Business: 

  • Manage, direct, develop and coordinate the sales and distribution relationship between Life Fitness. and the distributors in the EMEA region;
  • Manage distributor performance against objectives and provide support by visiting the distributor;
  • Analyse market trends and anticipate new opportunities;
  • Optimize profitability/margins of distributor business through good planning of product requirements and special promotions;

Skills & abilities 

  • Bachelor degree educated (Commercial);
  • Minimum of 5 years proven successful experience selling Business to Business in an international role, or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 5 years proven successful experience in managing and developing key accounts;
  • Successful hunter; knowing the role will be both a blend of account management as well as large  focus on new account acquisition;
  • Exceptional commercial acumen, with in-depth financial understanding;
  • Ability to think strategically across all functions;
  • Significant experience of presenting and negotiating at senior levels;
  • Experience in the fitness or sporting goods industry would be preferable;
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix structure, understanding political influences.
